ART IN THE GARDEN, MEET THE ARTIST!
Come meet award winning Diné artist Jerry Brown who will be painting in the Garden’s Hendricksen Pavilion on Friday, May 24th from 1-3 pm. Jerry is a Diné artist from Mariano Lake in the Navajo Nation. He is a 1995 graduate of the Institute of American Indian Art. Jerry has always viewed the world through the lens of abstraction. His time studying at IAIA opened a whole new world for him. Jerry says it freed him to explore and create what he wanted – not what others expected.
A selection of Jerry’s paintings will be available for purchase in the Garden’s Gift Shop.
And don’t forget to visit Jerry’s Booth at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture’s Native Treasures Art Market on Saturday and Sunday, May 25th-26th at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center.
