The Santa Fe Botanical Garden today announces the unveiling and opening of its new Museum Hill site will take place during a series of Grand Opening events taking place July 19-21, 2013.
A living collection of plants and outdoor experiences, The Santa Fe Botanical Garden at Museum Hill will be a year-round destination, occupying nearly 13 acres alongside the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, Museum of International Folk Art, Museum of Spanish Colonial Art, and the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian. A groundbreaking event at the garden, designed by American Horticultural Society award-winning landscape architect Gary Smith, took place in November 2011. Soon after, one of the site’s highlights was installed: the inclusion of the historic and rare 1913 Kearney Bridge, which was moved from its original site in San Miguel County, NM. The bridge, painted a vibrant red, will serve as a centerpiece for the Grand Opening events.
