The Meadow Border Renovation: Time for a Change
In the final week of March, Linda worked with John Morris and his New Mexico Stone crew to install 18 new boulders in the Meadow Border.

After the crew offloaded the big rocks near the Garden gate, John and Linda spent time reviewing the design, evaluating the boulders, and looking at the space, selecting just the right boulder for each placement.
Access into the Garden with large equipment is limited, so John and crew moved the stones into place by hand, using a sturdy cart, heavy steel bars, and smart ergonomics.
With John’s experience and eye for rock and Linda’s vision of the final garden, the boulder setting went beautifully. The new boulders already give the Meadow Border a more settled feeling, connecting the Welcome Ramada stone wall to the “rockery” seating area, to the rock-lined Rambla crossing.
