Santa Fe Botanical Garden and the New Mexico Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society (NARGS) invite you to a special presentation by Amy Schneider.
On July 19, 1887, Alice Eastwood and Alfred Russel Wallace began a Colorado journey together to explore the alpine plants of Grays Peak. Who were these people? How did they meet? Where did they go and what did they collect?
Come hear their exciting story and how their adventure and collections were re-created over 135 years later by both Amy Schneider and staff of Betty Ford Alpine Gardens!
Amy is an Assistant Curator in Horticulture and has been at Denver Botanic Gardens (DBG) since 2008. Amy oversees DBG’s Asian garden (Plantasia) which has seen the construction of a spectacular crevice garden. She also oversees the maintenance of the Mount Goliath alpine garden at nearly 12,000 feet!
