Maura’s morning yoga at the garden will be informed by listening and being aware of the natural environment and connecting that with what arises from the group. Her approach to yoga is deeply intuitive and allows for personal reflection and inner journeying to the heart of the matter. She values connecting breath with movement, thus each class becomes a moving meditation.
Classes are for all levels, including beginners. Students must bring their own mats and any other props such as yoga straps and blocks.
Maura Finn began her journey with yoga long before she knew what it was called. As a collegiate athlete, she was aware of the body-mind connection and used breath and visualization to aid her in her sport. After years of experimenting with other modalities, she came to her asana practice in 2007. It was the medicine that helped her heal on many levels. She is trained in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga, as well as Yoga Nidra, with additional certification in children’s and teen yoga and trauma informed yoga. Maura has gathered information and experiences from all across the globe to infuse in her teachings and experiences. She believes that yoga is a “work in” that enhances the outer work. When one has a strong connection to the body and the breath, there is space for transformation that ripples out into all aspects of life.
