This past weekend the Santa Fe Botanical Garden celebrated a great milestone– its 10-year Anniversary on Museum Hill! We had 3 days of exciting events from June 15-17 with beautiful weather and had a chance to reconnect with new and old friends. All 3 events were very well attended and a lot of fun with great food, entertainment, delicious drinks and educational lectures. A special thank you to all of the SFBG staff, volunteers and interns who helped make these events so successful.

On June 15, nationally recognized and Santa Fe Botanical Garden Landscape architect, Gary Smith, spoke at our Garden Conversations at Weldon’s Museum Hill Café and led a tour of the Garden after the breakfast.

On June 16, we celebrated in grand style with our gala reception held at the Garden where we had Swing-jazz music by Ronaldo Baca and Swing Magique, sweet and savory hors d’oeuvres by Walter Burke Catering, botanical signature cocktails by As Above So Below Distillery and docent led tours of our new Piñon Country photographic art exhibit and our newest garden area the Piñon Juniper Woodland.

The anniversary events ended on July 17 with an educational lecture by ecological restoration specialist and local business owner of Ecotone, Jan-Willem Jansens, followed by a tour of the Piñon Juniper Woodland.
