Nosotros

Wednesday, June 5

Nosotros has been drawing music lovers to their distinctive Latin groove for over 20 years. What began as a guitar trio in 1994, quickly took on a life of its own, becoming something that no one could have predicted, including one of the most recognizable and original Latin bands in the Southwest United States. The band’s remarkable evolution over the years – taking on new members and leadership along the way – has resulted in the 10-piece Latin music powerhouse it is
today. The group seamlessly combines a myriad of Latin rhythms with elements of rock, salsa, jazz and cumbia creating an innovative and imaginative Latin sound that is, unique, undefinable and unmistakably Nosotros. Nosotros continue to this day to astound audiences wherever they perform. They have become festival favorites and have shared stages with the likes of Etta James, Gypsy Kings, Los Lobos, The Wailers, Roy Hargrove, Los Lonely Boys, Joan Osborne,
Ozomatli, Las Cafeteras, Flor de Toloache, Grupo Fantasma, Victor Wooten, Dave Mason, Making Movies and many more.

Dana Keller, a veteran pedal steel, dobro, and guitar player, has spent years performing on stage or in the studio with such luminaries as Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Stevie Wonder, Larry Graham, Marvin Gaye, Dave Mason, Johnny Rodriguez and The Allen Brothers, to name a few. Laurie Jennings Oudin is a former Shakespearean actress who has spent many years on the stage. Her theater background combined with a lifetime of professional singing gives her an obvious command of the stage as well as the songs she sings. With a vocal style that ranges from early Joni Mitchell to Emmylou Harris, Laurie leaves audiences mesmerized by her stunning vocal delivery.

“Dana has a poet’s eye for beauty & detail, a blue’s man’s soul, and a songbird’s gift. He is remarkable.”  Hayes Carll

Quote from Glide Magazine – “The Title Track crackles with a mysterious energy that would make for the background music of a David Lynch film, where dreamlike patterns form out of the subconscious.  With Lyle Lovett on vocals, the track encapsulates the essence of true Americana”.
