Conserving Butterflies of New Mexico with Xerces Society

Advance registration required.

Join Kaitlin Haase for a presentation on the conservation efforts to preserve the diverse butterflies of New Mexico. Learn about recent research on rare species and pesticide exposure, habitat improvement projects, and how you can support butterfly conservation through community science and providing habitat for pollinators in your garden. After the presentation, Kaitlin will lead attendees on a walk through the garden highlighting host plant species, nectar-rich blooms, and overwintering shelter essential to support all life stages of insect pollinators. Hopefully there will be butterflies active in the garden for us to practice some common species identification!
