Join designer James David as he reflects on a 50-year journey of cultivating design taste and personal style. Drawing from decades of living and working in three distinct regions, he explores how plants, building materials, climate, and cultural history have shaped his work, with a continual focus on the thoughtful fusion of traditional and modern design.
About the Presenter:
James David graduated in 1969 form LSU in Landscape architecture. He worked for 4 years as head landscape architect for the Texas Parks Department. He is the founder of a retail nursery and construction company (GARDENS) and Landscape Architectural firm and has done so for 30 years in Austin, Texas. He is a Board Member of the Garden Conservancy and he chaired the Open Days Program for 6 years. Since 2006 he has been working as a Landscape Architect on projects in Mexico, California, Westchester County, New York, Texas, London, England and New Mexico.
