Ryan Brenteson is the owner of Very Good Tree Service, based in Santa Fe. With over a decade of experience running a successful tree care business, Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his work. Prior to entering his current field of work, he spent 10 years as a wildland firefighter, gaining firsthand experience in forest management and fire ecology.
Ryan holds a degree in Forestry from the University of Montana and became an ISA Certified Arborist in 2016. In 2024, he achieved the prestigious designation of Board-Certified Master Arborist—one of only three in New Mexico and the only one currently practicing in Santa Fe. His commitment to professional development is reflected in his Tree Risk Assessment Qualification and completion of the Consulting Arborist course. Driven by a deep passion for trees, Ryan continuously seeks to expand his knowledge and expertise in the field.
