Sunset Concert Series with Simply Three
Simply Three is a genre-blending instrumental trio from Phoenix, Arizona, known for their electrifying fusion of classical, rock, and pop music. Formed in 2010 by Nicholas Villalobos (cello), Zack Clark (bass), and later joined by Julian Nguyen (violin), the group began as street performers and quickly rose to global prominence through viral videos of innovative covers like “Wake Me Up” by Avicii and “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic. Their arrangements—marked by cinematic flair, intricate harmonies, and emotional depth—shine in both reinterpretations and original pieces such as the hauntingly beautiful “Rain.” With high-energy live performances of hits like “Rolling in the Deep” and “Take Me to Church,” Simply Three has captivated audiences worldwide. They’ve collaborated with artists like Brooklyn Duo, Peter Hollens, Nathan Pacheco, and Vitamin String Quartet, and remain deeply committed to music education through outreach, workshops, and masterclasses. Their evolving repertoire, including creative takes on tracks like “Despacito,” “Dance Monkey,” and “Bad Guy,” continues to push boundaries and redefine contemporary instrumental music.
