Come join Lauren as she explores and celebrates the pioneering work in western horticulture that David Salman and she both focused on during their almost thirty-year-long friendship, and that she continues. Lauren will interweave their shared interests with examples of her design work– pertinent timing as she is the recipient of the 2025 American Horticultural Society Landscape Design Award. She’ll touch on David’s and her early passion for water-wise native and adapted plants, including personal favorites hardy cacti, fiber plants, and grasses, on into plants that attract and support pollinators, hummingbirds, and other wildlife, and also their hunt to identify some of the best woody plants for a resilient future.
10:00am – Meet the Designer, coffee & light refreshments
10:30am – Presentation in theater
