SUMMARY:Forest Bathing and Cacao Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Advance Registration Recommended \nJoin Dr. Marcy for a restorative mindfulness experience that combines forest bathing with a guided cacao ceremony. Through mindful walking\, sensory awareness\, and quiet reflection\, participants will deepen their connection to nature while cultivating a sense of quiet reflection. \nThe experience concludes with a ceremonial cacao tasting. Derived from the seeds of the cacao tree (Theobroma cacao)\, cacao offers a unique botanical connection between plants\, culture\, and well-being. Long valued by Indigenous cultures of Central and South America\, cacao invites participants to reflect on the many ways plants enrich our lives. \nAbout the instructor:  \nDr. Marcy B. Newman\, a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM)\, has certifications in iRest Yoga Nidra\, Caritas Coach\, Nurse Coach\, and was a VA nurse for over 10 years (mainly doing employee well-being and health promotion).
