DESCRIPTION:Advance Registration Required \nStep into the Santa Fe landscape with a sketchbook in one hand and a thoughtfully limited watercolor palette in the other. In this beginner-friendly plein air journaling class\, participants will learn to capture manageable Southwest scenes\, from adobe walls and entryways to ristras and garden gates\, while recording color mixes\, light\, and perspective notes that can later blossom into finished studio pieces. Guided by award-winning artist Antonio Darden\, this course weaves color theory\, value study\, and one- and two-point perspective into a creative practice that’s equal parts travel diary and work of art. 🎨🌵 \nThis class will cover\, color theory\, value study and one-point and two-point perspective. This class is for beginners to intermediate\, even if you haven’t painted before you will really enjoy this class. \nAbout the Artist: \nAntonio Darden is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society\, National Watercolor Society\, Western Federation Watercolor Society\, Watercolor Society of Alabama and New Mexico Watercolor Society. DESCRIPTION:Advance Registration Recommended \nJoin Dr. Marcy for a restorative mindfulness experience that combines forest bathing with a guided cacao tasting. Through mindful walking\, sensory awareness\, and quiet reflection\, participants will deepen their connection to nature while cultivating a sense of quiet reflection. \nThe experience concludes with a ceremonial cacao tasting. Derived from the seeds of the cacao tree (Theobroma cacao)\, cacao offers a unique botanical connection between plants\, culture\, and well-being. Long valued by Indigenous cultures of Central and South America\, cacao invites participants to reflect on the many ways plants enrich our lives. \nAbout the instructor: \nDr. Marcy B. Newman\, a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM)\, has certifications in iRest Yoga Nidra\, Caritas Coach\, Nurse Coach\, and was a VA nurse for over 10 years (mainly doing employee well-being and health promotion).
